Potrero Boulevard To Be Closed For Months In Beaumont
Beaumont officials say the closure, highlighted in the attached map, is estimated to last three or four months.
BEAUMONT, CA ā City officials on Wednesday announced an upcoming months-long closure of a local roadway. A portion of Potrero Boulevard will be closed beginning Monday through mid-summer.
The closure, which will affect through-traffic and not construction vehicles, will be between Oak Valley Parkway and Western Knolls. Officials say it's necessary as construction work continues on the Potrero Interchange over State Route 60. The intersection will eventually be realigned and underground utilities need to be laid.
"During the closure, local area businesses will be accessible by right turns only from Highway 60," Beaumont officials said. "To access a business on the opposing side of SR-60, drivers are able to utilize Jack Rabbit Trail and the 6th Street exit to transition."
