TRAFFIC ALERT: U-Haul Fire on the 60 Prompts Partial Freeway Closure

CHP reports some lanes are closed due to the blaze.

MORENO VALLEY, CA – A U-Haul truck caught fire Thursday afternoon on the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway, prompting the California Highway Patrol to shut down several traffic lanes while fire crews extinguished the flames.

The blaze was reported just before 3 p.m. on the westbound 60, near Perris Boulevard, according to the CHP.

Riverside County firefighters had the flames knocked down by 3:15 p.m.
