Tribes Look To Fill Nearly 300 Positions During Local Job Fairs

Positions are open at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio and Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Two local tribes have announced they are hold upcoming job fairs — one in Indio and another in Cabazon — in an attempt to fill nearly 300 positions.

Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio will hold a job fair Thursday to fill more than 90 positions.

The event will take place in the casino's Special Events Center from 2 to 6 p.m. The casino, which is owned by the Cabazon Band of Mission Indians, is looking for employees in a variety of departments, including food and beverage services, casino floor operations and cash operations.

The first 50 job seekers to complete an in-person application will receive a $50 gift card.

Prospective employees are asked to dress professionally and bring a resume.

Fantasy Springs is located at 84-245 Indio Springs Parkway.

The Morongo Casino Resort & Spa in Cabazon will host a series of job recruitment fairs next month in an ongoing effort to fill more than 200 positions.

The hiring events are scheduled on Feb. 3, 9, 15 and 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the resort's Grand Ballroom.

"From our 2020 expansion to the upcoming opening of the innovative Marketplace, we're excited to be adding new team members who share our commitment to providing a world-class resort experience to our guests," resort Chief Operating Officer Richard St. Jean said. "There's never been a better time to consider joining our growing team at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa."

Officials said a variety of slots are open, including cashiers, custodians, hosts, room attendants and security guards.

There's also a need for cooks and servers in The Marketplace restaurant, sporting international menus by celebrity chef Fabio Viviani.

Officials noted that the resort "offers competitive wages and benefits," including "medical, dental and vision insurance options for full- time team members and dependents."

Jobs additionally feature 401K retirement plans and vacation time, officials said.
