Twin Pines Ranch Escapee Back in Custody
Desert Hot Springs police captured him with allegedly stolen property.

A prisoner who had escaped from the Twin Pines Ranch juvenile facility just outside of Banning was back in custody Tuesday morning.
Police caught him carrying a television that allegedly had been stolen near Desert Hot Springs.
Two other suspected burglars escaped on a quad motorcycle after a police chase that involved canine units, air units and even a golf cart. The quad motorcycle, recovered after the chase, turned out to be stolen.

Police apprehended the 16 year-old Hispanic Twin Pines escaped prisoner near 18th Avenue and Bubbling Wells Road in Desert Hot Springs after reports of thefts on the 16000 block of Via Corto West, between the city limits and Interstate 10. Sheriff’s deputies pursued two more suspects onto the Desert Dunes Golf Course, where they were able to elude capture. The two suspects at large are believed to be Hispanic teenagers.
