Walmart Upgrades Revealed In San Jacinto Supercenter Refresh

At the grand opening, organizers shared $8,400 in grants to local organizations in San Jacinto, and displayed a new community-focused mural.

SAN JACINTO, CA — The San Jacinto Walmart Supercenter, located at 1861 S San Jacinto Ave, celebrated its grand reopening Thursday following a transformative remodel, accoridng to a recent news release.

The Supercenter’s manager and associates held a celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the occasion, which included the unveiling of a new community-focused mural and presentation of $8,400 in grants to local organizations in San Jacinto, including the Brown Descents Car Club Association, the California Family Life Center, and Bruised But Not Broken Family Resource Center.

During the celebration, Supercenter manager Sandy Cifuentes highlighted the transformed departments and newly offered services now available to customers, including:

  • The expansion of the Online Grocery Pickup and Delivery Department
  • A transformed front end of the store, including 33 new self-checkouts and registers, to make checkout faster and more convenient for customers
  • A new digital Online Pickup and Delivery room
  • The expansion of multiple departments, including Health and Beauty, Liquor, and Grocery
  • An overall refreshed appearance of the store, which includes new signage and displays

"We are thrilled to mark the grand reopening of our newly refurbished store today. This makeover will enhance the shopping experience for our valued customers in the City of San Jacinto," conveyed Sandy Cifuentes, the Manager of the Supercenter. "Beyond the improvements to our store, we take pride in actively contributing to our community. Through these grants, our goal is to support our local organizations who dedicate their work for the betterment of the neighborhood.”

As part of Walmart’s dedication to the San Jacinto community, the Supercenter’s manager and associates presented $8,400 in grants to local nonprofit organizations, including:

  • $5,000 to the Brown Descents Car Club Association
  • $2,500 to the Bruised But Not Broken Family Resource Center
  • $900 to the California Family Life Center

The San Jacinto Walmart Supercenter transformation is a part of Walmart’s Signature Experience, which seeks to inspire customers and elevate their in-store experience.

Upgrades at the store include:

Activated corners: Exciting displays are featured at the corners of certain departments to pull customers in and help them touch, feel, and become a part of the space, allowing them to discover all that Walmart has to offer, according to the release.

  • Elevated departments: Transformed Supercenter feature displays showcasing products that are out of their boxes so customers can imagine them fitting into their daily lives.
  • More space to discover: Walmart has purposefully created more space for customers to explore and discover the breadth and depth of what their local Supercenter offers them.

Walmart customers around San Jacinto will continue to save time and money by shopping when, where, and how they want as the Supercenter continues to offer the following innovations:

  • Pickup – Walmart’s Pickup option has become a favorite among busy shoppers. It provides the convenience of online shopping and allows them to quickly collect their groceries without stepping out of their vehicles. The best part is that Walmart Grocery Pickup is completely free of charge. Furthermore, customers using SNAP in most states have the option to avail themselves of the pickup service as well.
  • Delivery – Walmart’s convenient delivery service is also a hit with customers. Even more, Walmart has now made both pickup and delivery contact free. Express delivery customers now have the option to have their deliveries made in under two hours.
  • Walmart Pay – a touch-free way to pay.
  • Walmart+ – Walmart+ is a membership program designed to save our members time and money on their everyday essentials, plus so much more.
