Weapons, Drugs Found During Cabazon Probation Search
The discovery was made Tuesday on Main Street, according to the sheriff's department.
CABAZON, CA — A man who was pulled over in Cabazon Tuesday is behind bars after a probation search of his vehicle by deputies yielded guns and drugs, according to the sheriff's department.
Jeremy Michael Abshear, 47, of Desert Hot Springs was stopped around 11 a.m. in the 50000 block of Main Street by deputies out the Cabazon Sheriff's Station. They allege he was stopped due to a vehicle code violation.
During a vehicle search, a "half-pound of narcotics, five firearms, and a homemade zip gun" were found, and Abshear was taken into custody without incident, according to the sheriff's department.

A search of Riverside County Court records shows no documented filings against Abshear.
Jail records were incomplete for Abshear Tuesday night. Bookings charges were not listed, but the records showed Abshear was being held without bail at Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning. No court date was listed.
