Weather Service Says to Expect Strong Winds in San Gorgonio Pass
Gusts up to 65 mph may be felt in the Banning area, according to the NWS.

By City News Service:
Strong and gusty winds are expected to develop in portions of Riverside County Monday, which could cause problems for drivers on area interstates and along the San Gorgonio Pass.
A National Weather Service wind advisory for the San Gorgonio Pass and the mountains of Riverside County is scheduled to remain in effect from 10 a.m. Monday until 3 a.m. Tuesday. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour were forecast for the advisory period, along with gusts of up to 65 mph in wind- prone areas.

The advisory does not extend to the Coachella Valley, where forecasters expected winds of about 15 mph Monday afternoon to strengthen slightly overnight, when gusts of up to 25 mph are expected.
Forecasters said the wind may lead to hazardous travel conditions and lower visibility due to blowing dust along area roadways. Affected areas could include the Interstate 10 through the San Gorgonio Pass and parts of Interstate 8 down in San Diego.
