Woman Shot Dead In Banning, Another Person Hospitalized
The murder happened Friday evening.
BANNING, CA — A woman was killed and a man hospitalized with critical injuries following a double shooting in Banning, police tell Patch. The incident happened at a home on Hoffer Street, between Hargrave Street and North Hermosa Place and prompted an hours-long closure of an area neighborhood block.
Police were called by the victim's mother around 7:57 p.m. Friday to report her daughter had been shot, officials at the scene told Patch. Once at the single-story home, they found two people with multiple gunshot wounds.
Both victims were rushed to the hospital, but the woman — identified only as a 37-year-old — died shortly after arriving at the Emergency Room, Lt. Avila told Patch. The man — a 57-year-old — had critical injuries.
