Woman Shot Multiple Times in Cabazon, 2 Arrested: Police
Sheriff's officials say two men are being held on $1 million bail.

CABAZON, CA – Two men are jailed in Banning Monday and a woman is hospitalized in critical condition following an attempted murder in Cabazon, sheriff's officials say.
According to Riverside County sheriff's officials, it all started around 12:25 p.m. Saturday, when deputies got word of a shooting in the 52300 block of Maxine, near Elm Street.
"Upon arrival, Cabazon Station Deputies located a 46-year-old, white, female adult in the front yard of the residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds," sheriff's Sgt. Beatty said in a news release.

That woman, whom area residents say lived nearby, remains hospitalized in critical condition, officials say.
Details surrounding the shooting are limited at this time, but sheriff's officials say two men have been tied to the incident via forensic evidence. Both 48-year-old Ernie Saldana and 25-year-old Lanh Bui were arrested in connection to the case after they were interviewed by investigators, Beatty said.

Both men are residents of Cabazon, and both are being held at the Banning jail on suspicion of attempted murder. Bail was set at $1 million for both as well.
Saldana and Bui are due to be arraigned on Wednesday, jail records indicate.
