It’s back! Soroptimist International of Bellflower will present its second annual fundraiser, “Munch & A Movie”, at noon on Saturday, January 31 at Starlight Cinema in Lakewood. This year’s film will be the 1966 classic “The Russians are Coming! The Russians are Coming!” with an all-star cast including Carl Reiner, Alan Arkin, Eva Marie Saint, Brian Keith, Theodore Bikel, Jonathan Winters and more.
Tickets are $30 and include lunch provided by Togo’s, including (what else?) submarine sandwiches and dessert. Doors open at 12 pm with lunch served until 12:45. Showtime begins promptly at 1:00. Beverages and popcorn will be available for purchase.
Funds raised go toward the Soroptimist International of Bellflower’s mission of providing women and girls in Bellflower and surrounding communities with educational programs and scholarships to help them achieve economic empowerment.
