Belmont's PG&E Pipeline Project Update: Paving, Restriping Next On Ralston

Major work is planned in town beginning Monday.

BELMONT, CA — Belmont city officials on Thursday released an update on the PG&E pipeline project that's happening in town. Here's the latest info you need to know:

  • PG&E to Conduct Pavement Restoration Work Along Ralston Avenue from Alameda de las Pulgas to East of Davis Drive Between Oct. 30th & Nov. 10th.
  • PG&E is nearing completion of their work on Ralston Avenue. The next phase of the project includes restoration of the project site which includes paving and restriping of the road. PG&E’s contractor will be repaving the westbound lanes on Ralston Ave between Alameda de Las Pulgas to east of Davis Drive; Cipriani Avenue between Ralston Ave. and Prindle Rd.; and Cornet Blvd north of Ralston Ave.
  • Uneven road surfaces will exist at times. Bicyclists and drivers should use caution during the construction period. Alternate routes are suggested.
  • The first phase will happen between Monday, October 30 and Wednesday, November 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and include grinding of the existing pavement, intersection and side street conform paving and isolated patching.
  • The second phase will take place concurrently between Wednesday, Nov 1 and continue through the weekend to Tuesday, November 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and includes applying a final asphalt overlay.
  • The last phase will occur between Wednesday, November 15 and Saturday, December 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and include the final lane striping and clean up.
  • The schedule is subject to change due to equipment and weather conditions. Due to the nature of work, long delays are anticipated and alternate routes or carpooling are suggested.
