As many readers know their has been an increase in local kick-in burglaries. Two more homes in Hillsborough were broken in to just today (Feb. 14th). One was a front door kick-in and the second got in through an unlocked window.
Preventing Property Crimes (aka Burglary of home or auto) is not complicated but it takes some level of understanding of what a burglar looks for in a target. The more Layers of security the better the chances you have of deterring or delaying the burglar from gaining entry. This is called Target Hardening. I created a picture to better illustrate this.
