Chamber Hosts Candidate Forum Tonight

New format provides candidates for city council and city clerk with questions days in advance of the event.

Tonight, the Belmont Chamber of Commerce and the Friends of the Belmont Library will co-sponsor a Candidates’ Night at the Belmont Library, giving voters the second opportunity in a week to hear the candidates’ positions on important issues.

Last week, the Neighborhood Associations of Belmont hosted a similar event at Twin Pines Senior Center.

There are five candidates running for two open seats on city council, and two candidates running for city clerk. Election Day is Nov. 8.
