Council on Commish Appointments: Out with the Old
Belmont City Council sent a message to city commissioners Tuesday night--longevity is no guarantee of reappointment.

Belmont City Council chose to appoint three new Parks and Recreation commissioners Tuesday night, passing over two long-time incumbents for the three open seats.
Judi King and Mike Davis, who have served on the commission on and off for over 20 years each, did not receive enough votes from the five-member city council to be reappointed for another two-year term.
The three open seats were filled by newcomers Tim Wong, Richard Sullivan and Thaddeus Block. Each will serve a two-year term.
