Enter Your Pup in the Stars & Stripes Dog Show

Local dog lovers will get the chance to show their furry friend off at the 19th Annual Stars & Stripes Dog Show during the Foster City Fourth of July Celebration on Monday. 

The show's categories include Best Trick, Dog-Owner Look-a-Like, Fastest Eater, Most Beautiful, Most Handsome and Most Patriotic. Registration is $5 per dog, per category. 

"All dogs are welcome, however, owners are solely responsible for the control and behavior of their pets," organizers said in a statement. "The Foster City Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to refuse any pet and owner from participating if they are deemed unsafe or unfit for the activity."

Also, all dogs must be on leash at all times.

Dog show registration will take place on Monday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.  There is no pre-registration available. Stop by the Fourth of July information booth in the Leo Ryan Park Amphitheater to register before 1 p.m. on Monday
