For it's spring concert, Cambridge Community Chorus presents John Corigliano's lyrical setting of Dylan Thomas's poem Fern Hill (1961) and Franz Schubert's magnificent Mass in E-Flat Major (1828).
Cambridge Community Chorus is now in its 22nd season and is under the direction of Jamie Kirsch. The orchestra includes players from Boston's critically acclaimed chamber ensemble, "A Far Cry".
Soloists are Deborah Selig, soprano; Katherine Growdon, mezzo-soprano; Matthew Anderson and Michael Pfitzer, tenors; and Christiaan Smith-Kotlarek, bass.

Franz Schubert wrote his Mass in E-Flat Major in the last year of his life at age 31. Composed shortly after the young composer served as torchbearer at Beethoven's funeral, the Mass is a monumental piece that builds on the legacy of Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven, and illuminates the romantic explorations that were tragically cut short by his early death.
