This docent program will explore the interplay of contemporary works and ancient works of art from the Asian Art Museum's first large-scale exhibit, Phantoms of Asia from May 18-September 2. Themes to be explored are: Where-and how- do we fit into the universe? Is there an energy that surrounds us? If so, can art make it visible? What happens after death? Where will we go? How can we envision the gods? Where can humans meet the gods?
