On Friday, the Fourth of July, at 2:00pm
in accordance with a Concurrent Resolution
of the United States House and Senate,
passed June 26, 1963,
Good Shepherd Episcopal Church
will join with civic & other organizations
and ring it's Great Bell (on the corner of 5th and O'Neil)
thirteen times, once for each of the original colonies.
In addition, our Chapel Bell will ring 50 times, once for each state of the Union(children are invited to help with the ring out freedom on the chapel bell!).
People of all nationalities and faiths are invited to join us,
as we share hope
for peace, prosperity, good will, and freedom
for all people and among all nations.
A brief service of prayer will follow the bell ringing. Bring a bell of your own to "ring-along"!
