Local Pizzeria Burglarized Overnight: Police

Sheriff's officials say the eatery was broken into in the early morning hours Wednesday.

SAN CARLOS, CA – San Mateo County sheriff's officials are investigating an overnight commercial burglary in San Carlos, the agency said Wednesday.

According to sheriff's Det. Sal Zuno, the incident was reported at the Round Table Pizza at 1324 El Camino Real at 2:54 a.m. Wednesday. Police were dispatched to the scene shortly thereafter.

"Upon their arrival they observed a side window of the business had been smashed and the rear door was open," Zuno said in a news release. "A Sheriff’s K-9 searched the building and surrounding area for the suspects, but none were located."

The incident is currently under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact Sheriff's Detective Scott Berberian at (650) 363-4051.
