Mark Your Calendar: Fall School Schedule Reminders

Now that the kids have returned to school, there's so much silence around the house. Don't you miss them?

Or for those working parents, you no longer have to plan for morning, afternoon or even sleep-a-way camps to keep the kids busy.

But sprinkled throughout the school year are "no school" and "minimum days" that everyone has to plan for.

Here's the list of such days from the Fall semester calendar at the Belmont-Redwood Shores School District:

• Sept. 11: First Day of School for Students.
• October 11: Staff Development Day—No school for students.
• November 11: Veteran's Day—No school.
• November 28 and 29: Thanksgiving break—No school.
• December 23 to January 3: Winter break—No school.
