National Night Out 2017 Is Here! And Belmont Police Are Ready

From the City of Belmont:The Belmont Police Department would like to remind the community that National Night Out 2017 is less than a week away!

This Tuesday, August 1, 2017 neighborhoods all around Belmont will be participating in the annual National Night Out event to strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. This year NNO events will be held in 11 locations around Belmont:

• Carlmont Shopping Center 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Sterling Downs Neighborhood (Alexander Park) 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Homeview Neighborhood Association (O’Donnell Park) 6:30pm-8:30pm
• Downtown Neighborhood Association (5th Ave & O'Neill Ave) 6:00pm-8:30pm
• Carlmont Drive (Hidden Canyon Park) 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Skymont/Plateau Neighborhood (Skymont Dr & Adelaide Way) 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Belmont Library (1110 Alameda de las Pulgas) 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Congregational Church (751 Alameda de las Pulgas) 6:00pm-8:00pm
• 1900 Block Lyon Avenue 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Semeria Park 6:00pm-8:00pm
• Belmont Heights Neighborhood Association (Hallmark Drive Entrance to Water Dog Lake) 6:00pm-8:00pm

Participating neighborhoods are asked to turn on outside lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with neighbors and police. Neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of events ranging from small potlucks and BBQ’s to large block parties. Representatives from Belmont Police, Fire and other City Departments will be visiting the neighborhoods during the event and will also have displays and information at the Carlmont Shopping Center.
