PG&E Repairing Belmont Power Outage That Initially Affected Thousands

6,000 people were without power at one point.

A PG&E crew is working to repair a power outage that initially impacted nearly 6,000 customers in Belmont Tuesday evening, a utility spokesman said.

The power outage reported around 7:45 p.m. was affecting 5,713 customers, PG&E spokesman J.D. Guidi said.

The outage was caused by a broken cross-arm on a power pole at Old County Road and Masonic Way, he said. By 8:20 p.m., power was restored to all but 985 customers, Guidi said.

As of about 9 p.m., there were 168 customers still without power, he said.

There is no estimated time of when power will be restored to the remaining customers, according to Guidi.
