Samir Shaikh a local community leader and software engineer is working on a software platform for the Industrial Internet at General Electric Company.
Industrial Internet is a nascent concept in the technology industry which promises to deliver meaningful interactions between machines and machines, machines and data, and machines and humans. Technology leaders around the world have broadly categorized this technology space comparable to the next industrial revolution with market addressability ranging from automating home utilities, to airline safety, to new medical cures, to a energy revolution.
When asked about the Industrial Internet software that he is helping envision, design, and develop; Samir Shaikh's response was profound and also enthusiastic, "I believe the software and solutions we are building imminently leads us to a much more evolved world. That is a world where machines qualitatively participate in the world." He continues, "if you look at a typical day our interactions with machines are evolving to out number our interactions with humans and, in my opinion, proportional is the potential for value generation if we make machines more participative."
We request our readers to provide your thoughts about the Industrial Internet.
