WHAT: Recovery Happens is a national month long event to raise awareness that recovery is possible and prevention, treatment, and recovery support services are available for people with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
Recovery and community organizations, local businesses and the County’s Behavioral Health & Recovery Services will be joined by more than 800 individuals and families from San Mateo County to celebrate National Recovery Month. The celebration has grown and gained county-wide support over the past 10 years.
This year’s theme, Join the Voices for Recovery – Together on Pathways to Wellness, highlights that people are not alone on their journey to seek health and wellness every day—family, friends and community members can support individuals throughout the entire recovery process.
