Board of Supervisors Declares September 25 through September 29 "Experienced Worker Appreciation Week"
Phase2Careers, a nonprofit, has assisted the "Over 40 worker" since 2010, through job search, career, and networking programs. “There are a number of special issues affecting the Experienced worker”, according to Executive Director, Ron Visconti, such as how to look for work in today’s job market, assessing and re-inventing one self, and looking for meaningful work beyond the retirement age.”

To celebrate the experienced worker, Phase2Careers is devoting an entire week to offering special programs for this under served population, including:

Monday, September 25 in Belmont at 9am, $10 Issues, Challenges, and Solutions for the Over 40 worker-Panel

Tuesday, September 26, at the Redwood City Library 10am, FREE Box: Recruitment and Forum

Wednesday, September 27, at Sobrato Center for Nonprofits, 10am-1:30pm, FREE Career Forum and Career Fair including workshops, career coaches, and employers.

Thursday, September 28, Recruitment Mixer at Burlingame Library from 6pm-8:30pm, FREE, mingle with employers, resources, and other job seekers.

Friday, September 29, Employer Panel of 6-8 Bay Area employers, 9:15am, FREE, Sobrato Center for Nonprofits.
