SMC Man Accused Of Selling Shotgun, Meth To Cops Enters Plea
The man was arrested by undercover agents as part of Operation Sunny Day, prosecutors say. (breaking)

PACIFICA, CA — A 21-year-old Pacifica man accused of selling three stolen cars, a sawed-off shotgun, methamphetamine and Xanax to undercover agents as part of Operation Sunny Day pleaded no contest Monday, according to San Mateo County prosecutors.
The crimes John Wallace is accused of occurred between Oct. 6 and Dec. 19, 2016, according to prosecutors.
The charges against Wallace include car theft, transportation of drugs and possession of a sawed-off shotgun, all of which are felonies. He also had one prior felony strike.

The arrest came as part of a two-year investigation conducted by a number of law enforcement agencies, including Daly City police, the California Highway Patrol, and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco,
Firearms and Explosives. The San Mateo County and San Francisco district attorney's offices also participated in the investigation.
Operation Sunny Day has resulted in numerous prosecutions in San Mateo County Superior Court, including homicide charges against 27-year-old Roberto Gabriel Bustos-Montes, 23-year-old Eric Valencia Vargas and
28-year-old Emmanuel Imani Hyland, all of whom are admitted gang members, according to prosecutors.

Wallace returns to court on March 9 for sentencing and faces seven years and four months in prison. He remains in custody on $250,000 bail. His 21st birthday is Tuesday.
Defense attorney Brandon Douglass did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
