Hey Guys,
Unfortunately, this week's post is going to be a short one due to the fact that I have a ton of back-to-school work to catch up on. None-the-less, it is a very important post.
From personal experience, I know that staying focused while doing schoolwork is extremely difficult, particularly in the summertime. There are just so many distractions that can pull your attention away from the work that needs to be done, such as the TV, phone, and/or computer. However, after struggling with staying on task for some time, I have come to realize that there is a solution to the problem.
It comes in the form of an application. Yes, I know what you are thinking. Why would I want to get help from the device that caused me problems in the first place? Well, these applications (once activated) actually restrict some of the most distracting areas of your phone/computer. For example, the apps can temporarily block certain websites and/or certain applications. Therefore, you can still use your phone or computer for school related stuff, but just not for the stuff that is going to distract you. Handy huh?
Here are the best apps/settings for computers and phones:
Computer:
-Focusbar (free)
Phone:
-Most phones have a restriction tab in their settings in which you can temporarily block certain apps.
Good luck,
Sage
