Temps May Hit 95 Degrees In Belmont! Heat Advisory In Effect This Weekend

If you're planning your weekend around the Peninsula, get ready for a hot one. National Weather Service officials predict that many locations will see triple-digit temperatures and have issued a heat advisory from Saturday through Monday.

"A heat advisory is in effect for most inland locations for this weekend into early next week as temperatures warm to as much as 20 degrees above seasonal averages and begin to pose potential heat related illnesses," the NWS said. "Dry weather conditions and mostly clear skies will also prevail through the forecast period."

Forecasters suggest to try to limit your outdoor activity during this time, and make sure to drink plenty of water.

As for Belmont in particular, here's the NWS weather forecast through Tuesday:

Sunny, with a high near 86. West northwest wind 14 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Tonight
Mostly clear, with a low around 58. Breezy, with a west northwest wind 17 to 22 mph decreasing to 9 to 14 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph.

Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 88. West wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Saturday Night
Clear, with a low around 60. West wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.

Sunday
Sunny, with a high near 95. Light west wind increasing to 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
