TRAFFIC REMINDER: Belmont's Old County Road to Partially Close on Thursday
"Make sure to include additional time into your daily commute and use alternate routes," the city warns.

BELMONT, CA – Traffic delays should be expected on Old County Road due to the Old County Road Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvement Project starting on Thursday, August 4th, 2016.
Old County Road - WILL BE CLOSED IN THE SOUTHBOUND DIRECTION DURING LENGTH OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECT to install new compliant Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) sidewalks where there are currently gaps, repair sidewalks in poor conditions, modify existing driveways to ADA compliance, and install signage and striping for bike sharing.
Construction of the improvements will require the closing of the south bound lane on Old County Road from Ralston Avenue to Karen Road. One-way traffic in the northbound direction on Old County Road will be implemented 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the duration of construction fromAugust 4, 2016 to late September 2016.

Traffic detours will be in place. Adjacent businesses will remain open during construction and will be accessible via the northbound direction. Businesses and residents in the area have been notified of construction and the planned traffic detour.
