Voices of Angels Right Next Door
A handful of Belmont singers will lend their voices to this weekend's Masterworks Chorale spring concert at the Carlmont High School Performing Arts Center.

Did you know that living here in Belmont we have superb singers who have thrilled audiences in New York’s Carnegie Hall? As well as in concerts on four continents?
You too can enjoy their expressive sound this weekend of March 23 – 24 – right here in our gorgeous new Carlmont Performing Arts Center!
This fabulous concert is given by dedicated
to the children of Newtown, as a celebration of their lives. Its soaring melodies
and lush harmonies comforted Rutter after the death of his son, and started his
composing again – now one of The most popular choral composers alive.
You, your family and friends will also delight in several lively spirituals arranged
by Moses Hogan and Ron Jeffers, poetry by Sara Teasdale put to song by
Frank Ticheli, Mendelssohn’s “Laudate Pueri”, Saint-Saens’s “Ave Maria”, the
traditional Zulu African prayer for peace: “Ukuthula” by van der Merwe,
and the stirring American folk song, “Hark, I Hear The Harps Eternal” arranged
by Alice Parker.
This hearty cadre of singers, 6 of whom live in San Carlos from both choirs,
would love to sing to your smiling faces in the audience! Come hear:
Liam Clancy, Justin Grodem, Lory Kitamura-Tintor, Johanna Newman, Colsten Rienhoff and Grant Wilson--then cheer them on! All 80 Masterworks singers and 79 of Ragazzi's best will entertain you in Carlmont’s Performing Arts Center:
Saturday March 23 at 8 p.m. and Sunday March 24 at 4 p.m.
Tickets are available at Masterworks.org and by calling 574-6210.
Tickets are $20 in advance, or $10 for students. Adults are $25 at the door.
Both Masterworks and Ragazzi are proud to have won the San Mateo County
Arts Council’s Diamond Award. Masterworks’ Artistic Director Dr. Bryan Baker
also won its individual artist award this year. What a great weekend to be in
town and enjoy San Carlos’s own so close to home!
