Belmont, You're Invited...

Come one, come all -- to Belmont Patch's first event since the site launched almost six months ago!

Yes, that's right, you've had local news at your fingertips for nearly half a year now. (Since Oct. 6, 2010, to be exact.) And as a thank you for being a loyal reader, and to entice those who haven't yet discovered the city's newest online news source, Belmont Patch along with is hosting a "free taco" event during the restaurant's happy hour special on Tuesday, March 29.

No R.S.V.P. is necessary, but feel free to comment on this article anyway to let us know you're coming, so we can look forward to seeing you!

Oh, and there will be S.W.A.G. as well. (Hint: Patch water bottles and Patch pens are among the giveaways. Other stuff we're keeping a secret until the event.)

Bring your family and your friends, and if you're feeling really creative bring a story idea or two as well! Many of the stories and videos you've seen on Belmont Patch have been the product of a resident's question or idea.

And on that note, thank you, readers, for helping make this site so successful! I'm excited to unravel the next six months of this news-filled, Belmont-based journey.
