MEETING AT 6PM: 2nd + PCH Comes to Belmont Shore
The developer of the substantial retail-restaurant-hotel complex, and an environmental consultant, will answer questions at the Belmont Shore Residents Assn. meeting Thursday.
David Malmuth, Second + PCH developer, and Heather Altman, Environmental Specialist, will answer audience questions about the project Thursday at the Bay Shore Library, during the Belmont Shore Residents Association meeting.
Led by newly elected board president Kurt Borsting, the meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. at the Library's community room, entered from the Bayshore Avenue street side.
The speakers will address the issues that have been raised in numerous prior forums and meetings, as well as in the project's draft Environmental Impact Report, which was certified by the Long Beach Planning Commission last month. Zoning for the southeast corner of the city (SEADIP) was changed to allow up to a 12-story tower, but designated it be a hotel, not a condo building, as had been sought.
