LONG BEACH, CA — Registration remains open for the Naples Island Rowing Challenge next month at Marine Stadium in Long Beach, the rowing venue for the 1932 and 2028 Olympics.
Rowers at the collegiate and masters levels are invited to compete, with free pancakes available to collegiate athletes and coaches after racing on Saturday, Nov. 14.
Participants must register each boat through RegattaCentral, pay the entry fee and submit a lineup. Late entries cost an additional $25 per boat and close Nov. 7 at 11:59 p.m. Entries are due by 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 6 to avoid the late fee.
The cost to enter the race is $160 for eights, $115 for coxed fours and quads and $85 for coxless pairs, doubles and singles, organizers said. Quads and singles are open to masters rowers only, while the other categories accept collegiate and masters entries. The Collegiate Novice Sprint for eights costs $140 per boat.
Competitors should review the coach and competitor packet before race day and can join the regatta's WhatsApp group for race-day updates, organizers said.
