American University of Health Sciences (AUHS) will host a Community Health fair on August 3, 2013 in the university parking lot. This event will target the underserved population in the surrounding communities of Long Beach
and Signal Hill, with a pronounced effort to promote “Head to Toe” health, initiate healthy lifestyles and maintain appropriate wellness patterns. This event will also help to educate the youth, with encouragement of healthy eating
habits and exercise levels.
AUHS is one of the first health care institutions in Signal
Hill, Ca. with a holistic approach to adequately provide academic, physical and spiritual education to their students and staff.
They are consistently involved in positive experiences to
serve the needs of the surrounding population; such as embarking on a medical mission to Cambodia sponsored by CHPAA, serving the homeless through their WISH/MASH program, continuing their Acts of Love feeding program and enhancing their Youth Enrichment in Science mentoring programs for disadvantaged kids.

AUHS is molded by Christian-faith which both inspires and
teaches their students to care.
In continuing the AUHS trends of community outreach, while enhancing the medical growth and experience of current students, the community health fair will offer FREE “Head to toe” health screenings, immunizations and
basic medical needs to the underserved and general population.
