St. Mary Medical Center Rehabilitation Department Earns Perfect Score: 100% for Exceptional Care

Long Beach, CA – 10/26/2012 – October is Physical Therapy month and the St. Mary Medical Center Rehabilitation Department has a lot to celebrate; the team received 100% on their latest AVATAR patient satisfaction survey, which reflects the quality of care patients receive from their healthcare professional. According to Mary Margaret Montgomery, MPT, Rehabilitation Department Manager, “The patient rates the therapists on politeness, amount of time spent caring for the patient, clear explanations given regarding treatment, and competence.”

St. Mary Rehabilitation Department treats patients on the acute floors, in the inpatient rehab center, and in the outpatient department at the hospital. The team also leads the senior exercise classes, provides fall prevention and balance exercise classes, and educates patients in conjunction with the outpatient diabetes class and Stroke Association. “I would like to thank the physical therapists for the compassionate care that they deliver to our patients and their families,” said Montgomery.
