Authorities Investigating Toddler's Mysterious Death
Nicole Larsen died about 12:45 a.m. after being found "unresponsive" a short time earlier at a residence in unincorporated Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA - A 2-year-old girl from just outside Long Beach died Thursday at a hospital, and an investigation was being conducted into her death.
Nicole Larsen died about 12:45 a.m. after being found "unresponsive" by her father a short time earlier at a residence in the 2500 block of East Jackson Street, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and coroner's Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
An autopsy was pending, Winter said.

Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau said there were no obvious signs of foul play.
The address is in "an unincorporated area of Long Beach" that is patrolled by the sheriff's Carson Station, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
