Keep on Food Truckin'...Into 2012

Hi all my foodies! I am so happy to blog to you today! I have some exciting news for all of you food lovers out there, but first let me tell you about all of the sweet-treat trucks out there that will satisfy all of your post-holiday cravings.

The first truck, also my favorite, is Crepes Bonaparte. This truck will not only cure the sweet tooth ache, but it will have you begging for more. This truck features many crepe friendly ingredients but the best, and most popular, is nutella. This hazelnut chocolate spread that is the new craze in the food world is driving people mad in the best way possible. My aunt Gabby, a frequent Nutella user, cannot find one item in her kitchen that she doesn’t want to slather it on.

The crepe that Crepe Bonaparte features Nutella is the PCH. I, of course, couldn't stay away from it and I don't think any of you would be able to, either. It is jam-packed with sliced bananas, peanut butter, and Nutella in a warm shell drizzled with nutella, a dollop of whipped cream and of course you can't leave out the French vanilla ice scream scoop. I dare you to take a bite of this crepe and not fall in love... It's impossible, I've tried over and over again and no luck.

Another truck that is bound to send your taste buds crazy is Long Boards Ice Cream. This make-it-yourself ice cream truck is unconventional but definitely stood out to me. You start out with your choice of ice cream flavor on a stick then you are given the option to dip into milk or dark chocolate. Before it hardens, you are given endless amounts of options to coat your delicious desert. I decided to try a milk chocolate bar with Oreos on one side and Nutella zigzagged on the other. Sounds delicious right? It exceeded every one of my expectations.

Now, are you ready for the big news? I am so happy to tell you that there is going to be a weekly food truck event in Belmont Shore! This event will take place at The Seaport Marina Hotel parking lot every Saturday. The hotel is located on the corner 2^nd and PCH.

There will be a number of trucks coming from all over Los Angeles to deliver all of their yummy food from 12-2:30 p.m. The Shore trucks will be arriving in the new year! Keep checking back here for more details about this great new event for Belmont Shore!  I will share details as I receive them.
