Seven New Food Trucks at the Aquarium Today

Hey foodies! I have some great news. This afternoon, February 10^th, seven gourmet food trucks will be lined up at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. This finally gives a chance for all of you downtown workers out there to enjoy what these food trucks have to offer.

This time around, there will be several new trucks to try. There will be the Don Chow Truck, Flavor Rush, Gourmet Genie, Grilled Cheese Truck, Slamm’n Sliders, Ludo Truck and Tornado Potato.

Out of all of these trucks I have only had the honor to trying Tornado Potato and I have to tell you it is amazing. This truck is a spectacle in itself. It takes a normal potato and wrings it out about two feet long and is stuck on a stick. It is one of the most unique treats I have ever tried. Their five-item menu consists of many crazy creations.

The craziest one is the Screw Drive. It takes ¼ pound sausage of your choice and sticks it down the middle of the tornado potato creation and is slathered in nacho cheese and chili. This heart-attack-on-a-stick is definitely on my must try list this time around. Their most popular item is the Sweet Tornado. This creation is slightly similar to the taste of a churro but has a different texture. This potato is toasted around the edges and doused in cinnamon sugar. Its crunchy edges keep the center warm and fluffy to get the cinnamon sugar to pop with flavor.

I have heard such great things about all of the trucks that will be there this Friday! I am so excited to try all of these new trucks and blog to you about them. Come down to the Aquarium from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and enjoy all of these amazing food trucks with me. The Aquarium is located on 100 Aquarium Way in Long Beach. Hope to see you all there.
