The Power of the Spoken Word

I'm working my way towards being Maker and earning powers as I navigate my way through life.  I've learned the power of spinning, the power of sewing, the power of machine embroidery, the power of making wooden gears, the power of operating the drill press, the power of the band saw, the power of the drill, the power of the belt sander, the power of extracting copper from wire, the power of weaving with copper.

I've recently learned a new power.  The power of the Spoken Word.

Here's how it works.  If you want something, or want to do something, you have to say it.  First to yourself, then to someone else.  Sometimes it's sufficient, but it never hurts to say it again.

Somehow, saying it out loud to someone else can make it happen!

An example?

I want to make hover shoes.  There, I've said it.  Now, somehow, it will happen!  Perhaps not today, not tomorrow, but it will.  A more specific way to use this power would be to say "I am going to make hover shoes".

Business owners know the power of the Spoken Word.  They use it quite frequently when they tell everyone about their business, why they want to have a business, their dreams of what it will look like.

What do you want?  It has to be something you really want.  Think about it, toss it around in your head.  Then say it.  Stand in the middle of a room, raise your hands up high, and use your power.  Use it again and again.

I recently used the power of the Spoken Word.  I said to someone.  I want to make monsters.  And I will!

Here's another one.  I am a Maker.  There.  I've said it.  So it is!  Not a wanna-be-maker, a Maker.  Someone who makes... whatever!
