DeLong WILL run for mayor. His enormous ego will not allow him to sit on the sidelines while others craft what he views as the wrong solutions to the worlds' problems. When he does run for mayor, we can look forward to DeLong further embarrassing himself by again grabbing people's cell phones who he doesn't like, again using illegal city hall acquired email addresses and again spending a record amount of money to not even win the vote in his own City Council District.

Can someone please tell me what DeLong actually accomplished during his EIGHT years as Councilman to distinguish himself as a public leader. On the contrary, I can list numerous scandals he attempted behind closed doors that were shot down when the public became informed. Might I remind you of the illegal Home Depot EIR, illegal Wetlands Bulldozing, "close friend" Tom Dean Eulogy, 12-story 2nd & PCH, Los Cerritos land swap, Secret SEADIP revision committee, secret Livingston Park Tot Lot elimination, attempt to put Gaslamp out of business, support of outrageous Belmont Shore Bar owners, etc., etc.,etc.
