The Belmont Shore Business Association has selected termed-out Councilman Gary DeLong to be its next Christmas Parade Grand Marshal.
Where Belmont Shore's own Olympic medalists, professional athletes and scholars have spurned this Golden Raspberry Award in the past, Gary DeLong has agreed to again embarrass himself as Grand Marshal.
This comes two years after DeLong's much media publicized bitter war with the Business Association President and its Board members over DeLong's attempts to shut down their businesses.
You have to assume DeLong was at the top of the Business Association's list of doleful candidates, considering VOTERS in DeLong's OWN district told him what they thought of his poor representation when they elected Alan Lowenthal over DeLong to represent them in Congress.
