
The American Cancer Society and Long Beach Cancer League are proud to announce the 36th Annual Gala Event in Long Beach California
WHO: The American Cancer Society founded in 1913, is the most experienced and largest non-profit cancer fighting organization in the world. More than two million dedicated volunteers help carry out the Society’s mission of eliminating cancer and improving quality of life for those individuals facing the disease.
The Long Beach Cancer League, a fundraising auxiliary of the American Society, is comprised of over 100 dedicated and distinguished women who have created and promoted an extraordinary Annual Gala Event. Thirty six years and almost eleven million dollars raised is evidence of this group’s passionate and unwavering commitment to the fight against cancer.

WHAT: The American Cancer Society and the Long Beach Cancer League presents their 36th Annual Gala.
The event will start with a VIP reception honoring beloved philanthropists, Dr. Mike and Arline Walter, followed by a Silent Auction, dinner and Live Entertainment.

WHY: The purpose of the Annual Gala Event is to raise funds to eliminate cancer as a major health problem. The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary organization dedicated to preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer, through research, education, advocacy and service.
