The intention for this year's Drum For Love is Balance
Drum For Love of Long Beach is excited to bring a deeper sense of Come-Unity through art, music and love. Our 3rd Annual Drum For Love will be an H'artistic, interactive, and unique community drumming and dancing experience. We believe that the drum, which represents the heart is what brings all walks of life together. It is a familiar language to all and it brings people of different ethnicity, age, gender, and religion together in the same space of love where differences dissolve and new possibilities arise.
This event will be infused with the intention of Balance.
There will be a balance between
~performer and audience
~high and low notes
~children and adults
~drumming and dancing
~structure and spontaneity
~heart and mind
~individual and come-unity balance.
No musical experience is required as Drum For Love is open to all and presents the opportunity of a unique structure where everybody in the audience to be part of the music that is created organically, spontaneously, and collectively with performers and artists. Co-creating all together!
~We have some instruments to share for children as they are a vital part of Drum For Love.
~Bring an instrument to share and we encourage meeting someone new and sharing with each other. We have some to share as well.
~Creative Costumes for all ages WELCOME!!
