Ninety percent of diagnosed asthmatics have exercise-induced asthma, the majority of which are children. For a young athlete, increased breathing coupled with outdoor allergens can be a scary, sometimes deadly, combination.
The California Chapter of the AAFA will host its Annual Air Power Games® on October 15, 2011, to increase both self-confidence and asthma awareness in children suffering from this disease. Experts will be available to discuss new testing devices, advancements in asthma care and new treatment guidelines announced by the American Thoracic Society (ATS).
