Dr. Craig R. Smith, Director of The Center for First Amendment Studies, will lecture on censorship in Hollywood and offer an introduction to his film series, Censoring the Cinema that will be screened at the Art Theatre in Long Beach. Note: this lecture will not take place at the Art Theatre, where the screening takes place.
This lecture is part of Banned, Blacklisted and Boycotted: Censorship and the Response to It (The B-Word Project), an 18-month campus-wide initiative, running from September 2011 through December 2012, at California State University, Long Beach.
