Free Family Fun at Long Beach Mardi Gras

The 2011 Long Beach Mardi Gras Festival & Parade brings a festive spirit to Rainbow Harbor. Before the big , there will be all kinds of free entertainment for kids and families around Rainbow Harbor, including mask-making, face painting, rides, games, magicians and kid’s entertainment.

Most of the activities will be held at The Pike Kids Zone on the lawn along Shoreline Drive. There will be other pre-parade activities, such as dancing, music, an artist village and a shrimp-eating contest that starts at 2 p.m. at Bubba Gump.

Don't forget, immediately following the parade, Shoreline Village is blocking off part of their parking lot to host the fun concert complete with bands, dancing, Lousiana-style food, Hurricane drinks and a beer garden.
