Occupy Long Beach will show the documentary
"The Future of Food" at Bixby Park (corner of Junipero and Broadway).
This will be preceded by a health fair at the same location beginning at 4:00 pm. Also present at the film screening will be representatives of the Label GMOs Initiative.
The group is collecting signatures on petitions to get this bill on the November ballot.
If passed, it would make California the first state to require labels on package foods,
if the food were made with genetically engineered ingredients.
