Long Beach Symphony Orchestra POPS!

Long Beach Symphony Orchestra launches its 2011-2012 Orchestra POPS! season at the Long Beach Arena on Saturday, October 29 with “American Songbook” featuring Principal POPS! Conductor Steven Reineke along with New York cabaret sensation Tony DeSare performing classic
tunes by Cole Porter, Irvine Berlin, Rodgers & Hammerstein, and more.

A star player in the New York cabaret circuit, Tony DeSare is taking the entertainment world by storm with his smooth crooner style that’s often compared to Michael Bublé and Harry Connick, Jr. The New York Times called DeSare “one of the most promising young male performers. He is a Sinatra acolyte in his early 30s who sings Prince as well as Johnny Mercer.”

The concert itself starts at 8 pm, but the doors open at 6:30 pm and people are encouraged to come early and bring a picnic dinner to enjoy before the show.
