Los Cerritos Wetlands Annual Membership Meeting Features Expert on Salt Marshes

Dr. Joy Zedler is Professor of Botany and Aldo Leopold Chair in Restoration Ecology at the University of Wisconsin. As a leading expert on coastal salt marsh restoration, her work has guided our local restoration efforts.  In fact, it was in tribute to Dr. Zedler's important work that a section of our own Los Cerritos Wetlands salt marsh was named "Zedler Marsh" at the first community-based cleanup of the wetlands, six years ago.

So mark your calendar and plan to join us on March 11th for this informative and important evening.

  • What: Los Cerritos Wetlands Annual membership meeting.
  • When: Sunday, March 11, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. (Meeting will start promptly because our annual Board election precedes Dr. Zedler.)
  • Where: Golden Sails Hotel, 6285 E. Pacific Coast Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90803
  • Who: Dr. Joy Zedler, noted salt marsh ecologist, speaking on "Hidden values of urban wetlands: Diamonds in the rough."
