Justin Rudd’s nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT) is hosting a Southern California Star Spangled Sing-off. Winner will get a $1,000 appearance contract to sing at 10 upcoming Long Beach events, including the 4th of July Kids Bike Parade, the Haute Dog Howl’oween Parade, the Miss Long Beach pageant and the Long Beach Turkey Trot.

Entrants are invited to sing a cappella before judges and a crowd of more than 100 volunteers following Rudd’s 157th monthly “30-Minute Beach Cleanup” this Sat., June 16, approx. 10:40 a.m. on the beach in Belmont Shore. Microphone provided.
This Sat. is also the 13-year anniversary of the cleanup.
The winner will receive a singing contract that will accrue $100 for each performance at 10 of CAT’s yearly events, with the first being the 550-kid-strong “4th of July Kids Bike Parade.”
